Water is a precious gift from God save every drop

Raining, its raining,it’s raining all the day,

Raining,it’s raining we can’t go out to play!

But flowers will grow and trees will too,

There will be plenty to drink for me and you!

Raining, it’s raining, but we wont be sad.

For without the rain things would be bad.

The rainy season is almost over. This year in mumbai we have had a lot

of rain. Why do we need water?

We need water to grow plants keep clean ,to wash ,to drink ,to provide

power and to control fire. Most of all we need water to live.

Water has three forms:

forms of waterThat’s magical isn,t it?

You know children – water is constantly being cleaned and recycled through

the earth’s water cycle. I am sure you all have learnt  about the

water cycle. The sun takes up  water drops as water vapour ,( We

cant see them)which then mix with the air, high up in the sky ,water vapour

cools and turns into water droplets and they form clouds.Rain falls from

these clouds.

raincycle

Dear  children, we have plenty of water but  we

are not using it wisely. We must save every drop .

When we talk about the rainy season one thing we always want to see

is the rainbow. A rainbow is formed by the reflection of the sunlight in

water droplets and it is seen in the earth’s atmosphere.

Want to have fun?  Go to the science experiment section and make

your own rainbow.Like i have told you before we are surrounded with

magical things and happenings.Love and respect everything around you.

Go ahead make your rainbow…..

Save the environment Gift a plant instead of flowers.

hello kids,

I am writing after quite some time. The rains have made all the plants so

green. Today as i was walking i came across a plant nursery and

decided to walk in to buy some plants for my empty pots in my window

garden. It was treat to my eyes to so many variety of plants, with

big leaves, small leaves oblong and round leaves thin and broad leaves

and oh so many shades and hues of green.I came across a patch in the

nursery full of  different colours of flowering plants. They looked so

beautiful. As i stood there trying to decide which plants to pick up a

colourful butterfly came and sat on a red flower.Have you ever thought

that we can call butterflies ‘natures flying flowers’.Can you imagine how the

world would look without the green trees colourful flowers and the

beautiful  butterflies. They all depend on each other.Plants have the

green leaves and the colourful flower. The butterfly enjoys the nectar in

the flowers and in turn helps to spread the plant seeds, for new plants

to come up.So dont you think that we should care and protect them.

To begin with i have a small idea……On this teachers day give your

teacher a small plant  instead of giving her flowers. And you know what every time she waters

time she waters it ,she will remember you.

Our value for today is    ‘GIFT A PLANT’

Go to Art & Craft section & learn how to make a butterfly .

Earth Day

Hello everyone,

Some time back (April 22nd) it was Earth Day and  I am sure some of

you wondered..what’s so special about Earth day?!

EARTH DAY

I too used to wonder what’s so special about Earth Day or Mother’s day

or Father’s day???

Well its just a day that we dedicate to a special thing and learn just

how important they are to us.

This is because we get so busy in our day to day life and happenings

that we begin to take everything for granted!!

Can you imagine what it would be like if we did not have our parents or

the beautiful flowers, trees and animals the day or night?

Like I told you earlier every morning when we get up we should have a

smile on our faces have gratitude and simply think and say the magic

words ‘THANK YOU…. God and mum and dad for every thing. I promise

to take care of the world and love and respect it’.

The more you think and feel..the more you will get.

On Earth Day Leonardo DiCaprio …a very famous hollywood actor wrote

to the young kids….”

Lets Not Sink

“Right now Mother Earth is hurting. She needs a generation of

thoughtful, caring and active kids like all of you to protect her for the

future.Help us win the battle to clean up our air water land,to protect

forests, oceans and wildlife.’

Now isn’t that what all of us should try and do in our own little way.

So lets promise to use the 3 R’s  Reduce Reuse and Recycle.

We talked about this in our earlier post.

GRAVITY

Do you know what Gravity is?

The force with which the earth pulls down every thing is called gravity.

Sir Newton was the great scientist who discovered gravity when he was sitting

under an apple tree and an apple fell on him….this made him think.

He later wrote the three laws of motion which you will learn when you

grow up!

The apple fell down…towards the ground!

Do this simple experiment:

Things needed:A clear jar with a lid,water,small pebbles,pieces of

small objects like pencils, paper, feathers, marbles, etc.

Method:1. Put the pebbles in the jar and close it.

2. Turn the jar up side down.

3. Observe.

4. Do this with all the things you have and observe.

Result:Each time we turned the jar upside down, whatever was inside

went to what become the bottom.

This is because the force called gravity pulled the contents to the bottom.

Another example of gravity –  When you throw a ball up in the air,

however high it goes, it will always come back to the ground. This again

is due to the force that is called gravity.

The earth is almost round but nobody falls into space because of this force!

SEE THE WORLD IS FULL OF MAGIC  We must take care of it.
