Fun with junk

Hi kids ,its summer vacation again- your holiday well earned after a year of hard work.Vacation time is to relax and do things you otherwise don’t have time to do.Its summer season, so very hot.You can be outside early morning or in the evening.(for various classes).During the day you have to sit indoors-  maybe watch a movie with your friends,cook, do some fun activities,play board games or just chit chat.Look what i have for you…..Fun with junk.

You can collect used up charts , boxes of tooth paste ,chocos, old ribbons cloth and make what you like.

1 A scrap book with your favourite cut outs pictures,photos.

2 Mobiles of flowers,animals etc.

3 Toys like motor cars ,masks.

I will show you some pictures and then go ahead let your imagination run.

Aqurium:-aquarium box These are just some ideas many people have shared.You can make just any thing you like. Remember your teacher would like it if you helped her to decorate the class-so use any junk and you can make charts and mobiles for your class projects.

One thing that you you will always enjoy making is a scrap book,in which you can paste just any thing you like-photos of friends or special occasions,pictures from a magazine or even articles you would like to keep.Paste them with a caption or write a little about them. For the book you can use old news paper,paint it (flower or sponge painting),cut to the size you like and bind it with a cover.Oh yes ,always remember to put a date on whatever you stick-you will love to remember and go down memory lane.-You can make a class magazine each year  sticking pictures photos etc.-sharing it with your friends years later .-its really great fun.

Recipe-Hamburger

hambhambugerHAMBURGER – Ready to serve with french fries.

We are going to make a very simple burger with vegetables:-

What you need:-

1.Wheat mini buns.

2.Lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumber, sliced onions.

3.Butter, sliced cheese, tomato sauce, green chutney or mayonnaise.

4.Potato wafers or french fries to garnish.  bun

Method:-

1.Slice the bun into half.

2.Spread butter, chutney or mayonnaise on one side.

3.Put the lettuce leaves,sliced tomato,cucumber and onions.

4.Put the slice of cheese and the other half of the bun.

5.Your bugger is ready.Serve it with fries and tomato sauce.

ham2You can make a vegetable cutlet and put it in the burger.Remember always have mum to guide you,and to have a great time full of fun invite your friends.

Kid Talk-Innocent things that children say seriously

Today I am starting a new column-Kid Talk-Children like to behave like adults and often intrepret things they hear in the own way-Kids are innocent,and we should let them grow at their own pace,guiding them with a loving hand. -Remember-

” Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write or count.

Childhood is a small window of time to learn at the pace which is right for each individual child.”

Now isn’t that very beautifully said. I have always been of the strong opinion that we should let kids be kids.Let them enjoy the kiddy things we did and most of all let them learn through exploration. We should give them ample opportunity for that.Let them play with different things, feel them ,their shape and texture .Let them enjoy music,listen to different sounds.Give them things to make their own music and move and dance around.But most of all give them a little time to do what they like.Be there for them guiding them but let them explore and learn and enjoy.

What I am going to write are short talks of kids-have fun reading:-Pictures and sayings are not mine  i am simply sharing what i have read.It would be a good idea if shared your experiences and funny things that kids do and say so innocently.

Inspiring and Positive Quotes

I have talked about this in my earlier posts.This  is something all  of us should try and do just for a minute almost every day.We get so busy and involved with our daily lives that we forget or don’t see things around us.

If you drive every day, you know all the directions and turns on the way and reach your destination with no trouble, isn’t it? But if you have a driver and you are  sitting on the side and looking out of the car window ,it is only then that you look out and often wonder- did you ever see these  trees on the way,or suddenly you observe a new building a garden……The world around you amazes you.This happens only if you find time and look around. We need to make a concious effort do that. Just spend a minute doing nothing but looking around at our surroundings.

Once again listen to the you tube I posted earlier-‘All things bright and beautiful’- Then stand near your open window and quietly look around ,breathe deeply,and listen to the many sounds.It is then that you will realise how lucky we are to be in this beautiful world.Every time you stand quietly you will see and hear different things.

We must be grateful for all we have, for this beautiful life with amazing things all around.With that thought in mind we should promise  to take care and save our beautiful Mother Earth.We should live a life full of satisfaction and happiness. Caring for and Sharing all we have
